神奇动物在哪里?在GRE填空题里~

暑假就在拐角了！

所以这期Chris老师写了个轻松的话题给大家放松一下。

劳逸结合，我们一起来看一下GRE填空中出现的神奇动物吧！

China’s rapidly growing population is the main threat facing large carnivores in the People’s Republic. 浅析:第一句说人口增长威胁动物生存，所以限制人口的政策颁布实行了，所以第一空选C，第二空根据nevertheless，得知这些政策尽管实施了，但是效果不好，所以人口还是在快速增加，第二空选E，第三空human pressure一定是负面，给华南虎带来灾难，所以第三空选H。

参考翻译：中国快速增加的人口是让这个国家大型肉食生物面临的最大威胁。越来越频繁的于限制人口增长的政策已经被执行了。但是这个国家巨大的面积和很多地区的隔离意味着存在肉食动物的地区的人口数量会无限制地增加。这种人口压力已经让华南虎在劫难逃了。

浅析：考点短语such..that..因果逻辑取同，that后说很难去梳理每一个信号的意义表明猴子的身体信号比较多，所以第一空选B，第二空通过考点词指this得知指代前文的困难，所以第二空选D，第三空根据考点by目的方式取同，后面说many signals seem to shift in meaning according to the context，猴子的身体信号根据环境改变，说明更难了，所以第三空选G。rich 丰富的，problem 问题，augment 增加。

参考翻译：大部分僧帽猴的斗争包括如此丰富的手势和声音的信号的表现形式以至于研究者很难去梳理每一个信号的意义。这个问题被继续增大，因为很多信号似乎会根据它们被产生的环境和产生这些信号的个体的发展阶段而改变意思。

参考翻译：毒箭蛙的皮肤包含致死的毒物，叫做蟾毒素。但这个毒素的起源一直都是个谜，因为这种青蛙并不是自己生成毒素，现在，有一种分析认为 melyrid 甲虫是毒素的来源。所有收集来的甲虫都含有这样的毒素，告诉我们这些虫子可能被毒箭蛙吃了。
