华商国际学院2021中汇杯英语演讲比赛初赛回顾

为了给同学们提供一个展示英语运用水平能力的机会，培养同学们的家国情怀和担当意识，激发同学们用英语讲述中国故事，传播中华文化的热情，广州华商学院国际学院携手国际教育集团、香港上市企业中汇教育集团旗下的高端教育品牌——澳大利亚中汇学院，于2021年4月13日晚上18:30在启智楼401室举办了“中汇杯”英语演讲比赛——向世界讲述中国故事("EIA CUP" ENGLISH SPEECH CONTEST)的初赛。接下来让我们一起来回顾一下这场比赛吧！

"My speech is mainly about Chinese development in the past 40 years.The economy of China was an old centurally planned one. But when the reform and opening up policy was carried out, the economy has become a market-oriented and global one. I believe that on the right development path, China will have a promising future."

陈湘瑜

"My topic is about Dragon Boat Festival. Among the many activities,the most impressiveis dragon boat race, andanother activityis eating rice dumplings. The story of Qu yuan is extremely excellent and great. Legends never die, heroes never die. "

冼钰珩

"China's diplomacy has gone through more than one hundred years. Although there hasbeen difficult times, China's diplomacy is now stronger and stronger. In any case, China is a peace-loving country, no matter how powerful it is, it will never forget its original aspiration."

"The main reason why I like ancient poetry comes from an idiom, 诗情画意, which means “Poetic” in English. For me, reading ancient poems is like collecting shells atthe seaside,no matter what kind of shell, is a surprise."

"《Return to wolves》is mainly aboutthe story between a girl and a wolf. It reflects that we should follow our inner heart rather than our inherent ideas about everything."

邹楠

"I would like to sharethe Chinese story from the perspective of archaeology with you. My topic will start with the new findings from the archaeological excavation at the Sanxingdui Site in Sichuan, and discuss why theexcavations of Chinese cultural relics haveattracted so much attention."

"I want to give an introduction of Chinese culture, mostly it is about different types of Chinese poems. There are many differences between them, and these poems includfarewell poems, scenery phrasing poems, condolence poems……"

罗佳裕

"Music can be found everywhere in our lives. Nowadays, there are a lot of new musicians trying to combine classical Chinese poetry with modern pop music. This greatly promotethe development of Chinese classical poetry."

李文杰

"A real Chinese should be a man with pure heart and mature thoughts, who lives a rich emotional life.The secret to the immortality of the Chinese spirit is the perfect harmony of the Chinese heart and mind."

演讲过程中，有的同学风趣幽默，有的同学慷慨激昂，他们流畅的语言以及标准的发音有力地表达了自己的观点，并以富有感染力的演讲内容打动了在场的观众，赢得了阵阵掌声。

点评总结

两位评委都对此次比赛给予了很高的评价。Colin老师认为同学们的演讲都很有趣，并表扬同学们在演讲中使用了很好的例子，同时也建议同学们可以通过展示PPT的形式来丰富自己的演讲。黎平海教授对同学们演讲时的表现做了简要点评，他表示演讲是一个很好的锻炼自己的机会，并希望同学们可以在不断的尝试与练习中提升自己的英语水平。
